I think we have a lot of 'secret admirers' shall we say - people who watch for 'entertainment' but don't have any reason or desire to post. Or people who log on once then forget their password.

Well I can't say I'm impressed by the volume of voters (42 as it stands) - especially as so many harp on how excellent the forum is; then when given a chance to make a contribution to how it it presented can't be bothered .

Shall we go with the change Graham ?

16 for me, for two reasons:

(A) Text is easy to read due to contrast of white letter edges and dark background.

Re. total number of votes, the 'advanced member search' is quite fun/useful if you want to try and nail down 'active users'.

E.g. if you search for members with a post count of 100 or more who have posted anything in the last month you get 225 people (compared to 7,264 members in total). And ...

3,049 members have never posted
1,036 have posted only once
604 have posted only twice
7 have posted more than 5,000 times

etc

The membership could probably be culled by 5000 odd members who havent posted in the last year.

We have a 'hardcore' group of about 150 people that post regularly - so even now less than a third have voted.

Apathy has always been Britain's greatest asset .

I don't mind which one we use - but if it's this much trouble each time we choose a new one - I can't see it happening again.

I don't see how it can take longer then 2 weeks ..

A week to submit pictures, a week to run a poll , hey presto .....

Just have to be strict with timelines ....

But i wouldn't have a clue personally how to do it !!
