Very nice - Didnt fit them yourself??? tsk! :ban: ;)

- I was tempted by these as they are an all in one unit. Unsure of the 'L' shape of the light tho, any close up/night photos?

There was some extra fettling required to get them to fit exactly in the original foglight frames, plus some jiggery-pokery stuff with the electrics. Richard in his element again ... :thumb:

I've tried some night shots but it's difficult not to just get a very bright spot!

I thought the 'L' of the DRLs sort of complimented the curvy lines of the CLS. Certainly better than the simple straight row of leds one sees added to many cars.

Are you going to Jays GTG - would be good to see them up close :)

Jay's meet is in my diary but can't be 100% yet.

I think they are absolutely stunning - and i tend to be a "OEM only" man, so thats saying something.

It was a pretty long job to get them fitted as its bumper off, and remake the light brackets, and we had to make a bit of custom circuitry to fool the bulb failure detection and to fix DRL turning on randomly sometimes due to way mercs are full of CANbus.

what was wrong with the old ones?

One suffered from the completely discoloured plastic lens that happens if the UV coat is removed, the other from a failed motor. The new lights make the car look new again !

how did it get removed?
Normally happens because someone cleans it off as it has got stone chipped and doesn't apply a new UV protective coating then the plastic degrades.

They go milky == MOT failure.
