....its a differant drive.....my golf was set up an tuned exactly how i wanted it, the merc feels quite sluggish in comparison, oh and it stalls a lot at low revs, replaced the battery but still does it!
But....im liking the ease of driving when its not sstalling!

re stalling
make sure the charcoal evap regeneration valve on the inner wing is ticking at approx 2 pulses per minute - it has word MOT on top of it.
The engine needs to be fully up to temp and at idle.
they get jammed in the open position and allow fumes from petrol tank into engine at inappropriate times and cause stalling.
