Hi All, Just going through the trials and tribulations of replacing the timing gears and chain etc on my newly acquired 2006 C180 sports coupé. Is there anyone who has a reliable tool to rivit the master link that I could hire or borrow. Deposit not a problem or cost of hire. I live in Plymouth. Many thanks for any help or advice... Presently up a creek without a paddle !!

Well I hope somebody near you can help you out,failing that you might have to buy one at around £50,I know it will be a pain as you will maybe only use it once.

If the C180 is not an every day car try Ebay. I did this when I wanted to check the torque on the cylinder head bolts on my Ponton. Tried 4 bolts and were OK and put the torque wrench back in its box, cheaper than going to a garage and you can sell it on afterwards.
