Forgot these two:

X - off roader / SUV
Z - too much money to care about car designations

Thanks Wheelnuts, can I ask why people seem to have a W prefix to indicate what car they own ?:dk:

You have a CLK...there have been two CLK models...without knowing the year of car (you haven't stated it) we don't know which model you have . The W number tells us.

Welcome Mark.

It is an excellent Forum with an immense amount of knowledge available and a lot of very good people!

A say A say a said ....Thank You

Thank you all for your warm welcome and already some interesting information:D
My car is a 2007 CLK 220 CDI in Thulitrot metallic red, with I think an unusual red leather interior ? which sold me on it, one previous mature chap owner, with full service history mainly MB then an MB specialist, 88000 on the clock and going by its condition and bill history a jolly pampered and cared for car, I genuinely consider myself lucky to have bought her and to own her, the chap was genuinely in tears when I drove off after 2 hours, I think if his wife had agreed to drive it after they had downsized to one car it would not have been for sale, also his son was a little annoyed at the price he was selling her for, needless to say I did not haggle on the price.
So my dream of owning a Mercedes coupe has come true after many years of seeing my first one in my ex father in laws garage a CL280 pillarless coupe on a "K" plate, which though having been on ramps after only two years on the road (he got banned DD) he would never part with it, though I tried and that was in red !!!!

Please how do I post a thread.

Thank you.
