New member with a sl55 amg

Hi, I have a sl55 amg which has been in the garage for around 2 years trying to get sorted.
The said garage had no clue.
There's an issue with the control module under the passenger footwell.
Now I'm a dilemma whether to sell as it is or spend more on trying to get it fixed.

Anyways heres some pics of the beast as it stands now.

Very true. That's the chance he might or might not take.

^ Might be worth trailering to a decent Mercedes indy and get the car looked at to see if its worthwhile spending more money on it.
Looks like the ABC and SAM unit need immediate attention at a minimum.

I'd be inclined to break it for parts if the engine was running before the lay up.
A M113k engine is worth a few quid.

Potentially a very nice car - The mileage is not to high for one of these engines, but it looks like it does need some love looking at the MOT history. As mentioned by others i would take it to a recommended MB independent specialist and get a good over view about what it needs and will need in the future, and make a decision based on that outcome.

Thanks everyone, I think I've made my mind up.
I don't have the time or energy to take it to another garage or to break it. So most likely will let it go as it is.
What would be a fair price for something like this? Thanks

Look at Autotrader and make yours a couple of £k cheaper than the working ones in your age/mileage bracket ?

I think it would need to be rather more than a couple of grand less.....for a car with various and unknown faults I would need a much bigger saving off a runner to make the gamble worth while.
