Hi guys ive been on this forum since march 2011. I bought my CLK W209 06 model in jan 2010. I just recently wired up an aux cable to my car and attached the Mercedes mic to it. I contacted Mercedes and they said they couldn't provide me with the aux attachment so i cut the attachment off and joint it to a 4 pole aux pin to which I wired up the mic and the left right speakers. now i have full sound and mic inside the car and all i connect is the aux pin. the phone uses the pre wired mic that Mercedes has just above the rear view mirror.

Im now trying a new project trying to wire up some DRLs to my car. I did this previously but the only way i managed it was to connect the wires to my side lights. this meant i had to turn my side lights (parking lights) on every time i got into the car so that the DRLs would turn on.

I have bought a relay to connect my new DRLs but dont have a clue about the wiring inside the bonnet. Can anyone help? Ive done a little research and figured out a way that it would work but need help as to which wires to connect where. I need a wire that has power as soon as the ignition is switched on. I have 6 wires coming out of the relay. 4 on one side and 2 on the other. the 2 are for the drls which will be connected directly to them the other 4 are 2 positive and 2 negative. Im thinking to connect 1 set of positive and negative to somewhere that has power on ignition and then the other 2 to my interior lights. This will enable my Drls to stay on and then fade out when the car locks. But the only thing stopping me is i dont know which wires in the bonnet have power on ignition. On the instructions of the relay it says to connect directly to the battery but i dont know how safe that is.

Please can someone help. can anyone provide a diagram of the wiring in the bonnet and mayb help with how i can get the wire from the bonnet to inside the car?

Thanks
