SLK 200
Just joined the forum after acquiring my first SLK, absolutely Love it!

I'm well into my detailing, not what I do for a living but do some training in it with a well know detailing company.
These pictures are following a basic quick once over, ahead of a full machine when time/weather allows!

This is Autobrite Magifoam, Citrus Wash, Banana Gloss, finished off with Cherry Glaze and then Ultraslick. Tyres dressed with Bubblegum Trim.

Thanks Isaxh - can't wait to do it properly :) Few swirls to be removed, trying to get a few friends cars sorted for winter protections too.... so it might have to wait until the Spring for a full machine :)

Clive.

Are you the ex Club GTI Clive?

No, not me :)

That looks cracking !!!!
not familiar with ultraslick what is it a sealant ?

Yes, it's a sealant made by Autobrite Direct - very easy to apply if in a rush or suits this time of year. Can be used at the same speed as a quick detailer, but gives great durability and protection off just one coat.

Can't wait to machine it, just need a weekend of decent weather and long days, thus Springtime most likely...

Regards,
Clive.

nice looking car..:thumb:

ha some of the product names you used makes it sound like its good to eat or lick ha ha .....:bannana:...must be me ??????:D

Thanks gents for the kind comments - I'm training a group in 'basics' detailing next weekend, so can't wait :)

Pete, you're right there - some of the products do smell lucious in use ! :)

Hope to be able to post more pictures of it here soon :)

Regards,
Clive.

Clive how does the ultraslick compare to gtech c2v3 if you have tried it. i found the gtech stuff was like using megs ultimate detailer wipe on and wipe off

Hi there, Ultraslick is a really easy application - just wipe on, wipe off - one spritz will do an entire panel no problem - in fact 'less is more' otherwise you can streak it - but it is dead easy to use. Project 32 on top of it (a spray sealant but used like a quick detailer) really brings back the bling... that said I have a friend from the office I got Ultraslick for and he simply tops that after each wash, although it's durability means you don't need it that often.

(I've not used the Gtech c2v3 - I do suspect it will be a lot more expensive than Ultraslick)...

Clive.

Superb work, something for me to aspire to!

Are you in any chance linked in any way with Autobrite Direct?

You seem to only use only their products, and when asked about another manufacturer's product (GTechiq C2), you state you have not used it but "suspect" it is more expensive.

Just would prefer it if people are honest so that others can determine just how "independent" peoples recommendations are. ;)

Hi, I only know GTech products through having used them some time ago - and they were very good, but expensive - their key selling points being very little product needed.

I've mentioned in another post I help with detailing training (if it was on the other MB site I joined and not here that I mentioned that, then I apologise) - and yes it's at Autobrite - but it's not what I do for a living. I used to do independent testing for Detailing World but stopped after I started doing training for Autobrite - so not trying to hide anything - my view on GTech is from using (some) of their products from long before I had anything to do with AB.

Like I say, not what I do for a living, but yes I help with Basics training for AB - and I use the same name on DW as I do here - i.e. CliveP .....

And I genuinely do like AB's products - one reason I decided to help them is because they offer down to earth products at pocket money prices.

But more than happy to post that yes I do like my AB products, and have more requests for details than I can handle, but I earn my 'real' money from my 'day' job, detailing is simply a passion for me, happy to help and advise anyone.

Regards,
Clive.
