New sub frame and uneven rear suspension

hi again
2010 e250.s212 with airbags in the rear only.
The previous owner had replaced the rear right airbag before I bought the car. With what brand I don't know.
Soon after I bought the car, the rear was deflating over night so I had the left replaced with a Dunlop. And it all looked even until the car came home with the new rear sub frame.
Recently, Mercedes replaced the rear subframe which had corroded.
The worksheet noted the right rear airbag was aftermarket.
It took a few weeks for me to notice that the rear right is too low. The car doesn't drop over night , it stays the same : The left looks a little low but the right looks lower still.
what could this mean? And what is the subtext of mb informing me of the aftermarket airbag?
Thank you for listening,
D.

No subtext, just Mercedes covering themselves by stating what they have found on the inspection.

As one side has been replaced then it is quite likely that the other may then fail or there may be leaking pipework or connectors caused by the subframe replacement

Fair enough DSM10000
I was just curious that they mentioned the right (the sagging side) as being after market eventhough the left is also aftermarket.
Also, if there is no fluctuation up or down (even when the car is undriven for days) and that the uneveness stays the same, that there might be a problem other than an air leak?
Thank you,
D

Well if you want to know why they mentioned one side and not the other then you need to be having that conversation with the MB Technician 😁

As for the other issue. Get it to someone with Star and get it inspected and /or reset would be my next step.

Or perhaps the previous owner replaced them with genuine MB parts? You did say you didn't know what brand was used.

If they are from 2 different manufacturers they may have slightly different natural ride heights? [ one being original -one rebuilt] it always pays to replace suspension elements in pairs even if only one is damaged

The right side was replaced by the previous owner. MB pointed out the right side is aftermarket. Before the car went in for the subframe it was level. When it came out it was down on the right. But not sinking at all.
Ages ago there was a leak in the left airbag which was replaced with a dunlop, so the car was level before the subframe and not after the subframe.
I would have thought it's not a leak because of the lack of fluctuation.
I will get it diagnosed by my indie and if I really need to I will ask mb.
Anyway, please peruse the attached photo, maybe it sheds some light...thanks guys.

I believe there are level sensors on each side of the rear arms? Like mini drops links? (I have a saloon with standard springs, so I'm scratching my head to recollect what I've previously seen on this forum).

Could one of those have been damaged, on its way out (giving MB benefit of doubt even if they damaged it, due to age), or could one of those have been put back slightly out of position?

If it is what I'm thinking of, I think they should be visible laying on the ground at the rear of the car looking forward to the suspension arms.

Or I might be totally off the mark and recalling completely wrong 😂

MrGreedy,
I'll have a scan around the www for that , it sounds plausible to me (though I know very little) because of the lack of fluctuation....i would incline to give my local mb the benefit of the doubt as they have been very good to me over the years when i needed them and i know the car is an oldie.
Thanks,
D

So I drove by my indie. Xentry said there was no fault with the ride height sensors. The right side had previously been lower than the left. Using xentry he raised the rear suspension height and the bar graphs for left and right read even. It looked correct. Well, the right side now looked correct. As all ships rise with the tide, the left side was now too high.
So digitally the rear suspension reads correct and even. Surely this means an unreadable mechanical problem. Maybe the ride height sensors are good but one of the little attachment arms is damaged.
Next, we'll have to take a look under the car.Thank you for reading,
D.
