Car
CLK 320 avantgarde convertible
Hi all

Just an introduction really.

I collect my first Merc on Friday ( CLK 320 ********** convertible ).

It's a bit on the old side ( 2001 ) but good miles and history ( 47k ).

I'm a bit worried tbh as I normally by lower mileage cars .. but .. done it now so I'll have to go with the flow.

There's a youtube video here

Would appreciate general thoughts on the car and any suggestions as to keeping it in good nick by members if you have the time and can be bothered :)

Hmm the forum settings thinks that the model type is a swearword :D

That looks really nice - w208 avantgarde convertible is a really good looking car - the 320 engine is a real peach.
Just needs the bonnet star and some sexy wheels and it will be a beauty.
Congratulations - you will love it.

Indeedy. Enjoy it. Engines are excellent. Sunny weather to so enjoy the drive home.

A different set of wheels will add to the looks.

Welcome,

The car looks nice and tidy and original too, personally I'd try and keep it that way.

It's obviously been well looked after by its previous owner.

Silver is a reasonably easy colour to keep clean too - a good choice.

Enjoy it.

A fine example - that'll run for years with just basic care & attention, deliver amazing value for money and make you smile every time you walk towards it with the keys in your hand....what's not to like? I've been a CLK fan for years and - despite strenuous research - can't find a better 'all round' fun vehicle for the money.

My 320 convertible cost me less than £1000 over three years in work & parts - including tyres - and I PX'd it for the same as I paid for it. You'll be looking for either an AMG/55 or a 500 in a few months.....!

Check your spelling of avantgarde ..

Lovely car by the way...the mileage is very low for its year and it looks like you stumbled on a bit of a gem.

Driving it home from Wales to Suffolk ( 4 hours ) tomorrow so should get a good feeling for it.
