Hi and welcome to the forum

cheers for the welcome guys

e30 wise ive got a 1991 318is only thing standard about it is the body shell bilstein shocks acs springs fairly stripped out its got a 3.91 lsd out of a pre 88 325i sport acs/eibach arb's its got a m52b28 engine out of a late 98 car fully derestriced inlet, big bore tb sinngle mass flywheel conversion thats been lightend never been dynoed but 240bhp seems a faily safe power estimate has been my fun car for the last 5 or so years

also got a 94 touring and currently got as a parts car an 82 323i that was a demo car for the local bmw dealer its e30 number 137 but its too rotten to be saved

Welcome, how good are you with turbo's?

I ask because I spotted your lancer evo project in your post. :thumb:

what do you mean my turbos to you mean turbo cars in general or turbo chargers?

ps my lancers pre evolution ;) 1.8 gsr but 2.0 engine and forged internals are in order!

As in, setting up a turbo kit on a normally aspirated 4 cylinder. If you know what you're doing I could use a few pointers when I come to do mine.

cant say ive ever turboed a non turbo car but have fettled and owned a fair few turbo cars with good results . are you keeping the engine std and running low boost ?

unsure what sort of abuse merc engines can take but i know the bmw 2.5 engines with a mls gasket and arp head bolts are quite safe 500 + on stock unopened engine

The engine is being kept as standard as possible. The trouble with MB engines is the ECU, it cant be modified or flashed, no possibility of setting up standalone or it goes ape and thinks the engine is going wrong so others have used piggy back ECUs with some level of success without breaking their cars so I assume that this is the only way forward.

management wise cant you use a piggy back system like a greddy E manage or simular ? basic way to get the fueling right would be a rising rate fuel reg
