New W211 Owner!

Load of free image resizing app in the App/Play store.....I use one of those. Must be said though that this is the only car forum I use that does not automatically resize the pics to an acceptable size when you post them....So I dont post as many pics on here as else where...too much hassle for a lazy git like me!!

Just take a screenshot of the photo on your phone, and it will capture this at the phone's native screen resolution and you will instantly have a much smaller sized copy 👍

Ah yes. Didn’t think of that. Great idea. Cheers.

If you have an Android device, open the picture you want to post, click the 'edit' icon (the pencil at the bottom of the screen), click the '3 dots' of 'hamburger' top right of your screen. Click resize and it'll give you some resize options. Select one, click 'done' and 'save'.
Exactly what I do, I find resizing to 80% usually works on odd occasion I have to resize to 60%.

Hi all. I just picked up a 2007 E280CDI. Ideally I wanted the estate version but this saloon came up and the history was spot on! 1 previous owner and serviced every year by Mercedes and a very reputable specialist with all the invoices from over the years.

If anyone has an estate version W211 then please let me know.

Trying to post pictures….
Welcome.... I am also a W211 owner and its been faultless, E280 cdi 2009 avantgarde Its only done 62k full service history and drives perfectly. Its silver but not like yours mine is cubanite silver not my first choice but like a lot of things in life had to compromise. Its grey and dull just like the UK weather so fits in really well.

Me too

Really pleased with it. It’s been very well looked after and just under 100k miles. It has a stack of invoices totalling over £10k from the Merc specialist! With a 17 year old car it’s the provenance that is the most important to me so that’s why I went for it.

Would love to find a similar mint example in the sport estate version - growing family! If anyone hears of one please give me shout.
I do. But its got 200k on it🤣 testament to how they last when properly maintained.

Good luck with it! It'll be a great car.

I miss my W211 😔
I feel your pain, I am back in one after an 8 year gap and so glad I am. not sure what it is but to me they are a truly great car. I waited for the right one low mileage one owner full service history with the 3.0L unit. It may not be the perfect car but its perfect for me

The replacement BMW X1 is efficient, well made, good on fuel but it feels like more of a tool made to perform a function.

likewise, I was given a company car Audi A4 again does everything well and has been in the three years I have had it faultless, and my head says yes but my heart says W211. I had to get another one and to be honest its a weekend car and the odd long run to keep the DPF clear It has an old world Benz feel about it, I had to have another one. I regretted changing my original w211 for a W212, again a great car and in some ways better than the W211 but its not always about better. When I walk out and see the twin bug eyed and that grill it never fails to put a smile on my face.

I had an A6 Avant 3 litrre Quattro automatic years ago.

Incredibly efficient, well made and well designed but boring.

Another happy 211 owner here. I have now had mine just over 3 years, and it is a superb car. Being the estate version with the 220 engine it is the ideal family utility vehicle. Now just up to 70k miles at 16 years old as well!
