Can anyone point me in the direction of a dummies guide to it? I have a few phones - how do i fit them? seller said a £20 adapter was required. ideally i'll get 1 for work and a couple for personal phones.

rgds,
noob

That's just the base unit thing. You need a handset specific cradle which plugs into that base. You latch it at the top, and push up. The connectors at the bottom are then revealed,a nd you click it into place.

Difficult to explain, but easy in practice.

I have a couple of cradles. What handset do you intend to use?

PS: The 'adapter' (the cradle) isn't £20. They're more like £60

Not sure yet - currently have a nokia e65 but possibly will buy for a blackberry (Work) and possibly also one for some kind of nokia (one that i have yet to upgrade to). Is there a recommended online shop? So if i simply buy a THB Bury cradle for my model phone, it's all good? Sorted, thanks!

Yep, it's that simple. I don't know what phones the cradles are available for, because I had my kit installed in my previous car about four and a half years ago. Sadly, none of my spare cradles will be any good to you.

I got mine from Vodafone Business - they didn't sell them throught eh retail side back then. A quick Google should give you what you need.

I had that in My GF's golf, I bought a bluetooth adapter/holder and it works perfectly, will easily pair with any phone.

THB Bury phone cradle

I got a Bury kit fitted to my car about 5 years ago. I have since changed my phone twice, and also bought a spare cradle for my wife's phone.

They retail at about £50-60 each, however, I have yet to pay more than £15 for one. There are readily available cheaply on Ebay. Thanks to the people who demand the latest phone as soon as it released, then sell their old cradle on Ebay.

The Bury system is excellent, I thoroughly recommend it.

Ahhhaa. Will try a bluebooth one then (get work to fit one)! And if i have problems, i'll go on ebay for the cradles...
