Welcome - from one newbie (well, member for a week or two now) to another. This is a great forum not just for friendly comment but for useful info.
If you're having problems uploading pics because they are too big, that's because this forum, like most, has a size limit on what you can upload. There is helpful guidance on the forum site.
Basically there are two ways to tackle this. If you have an image editing program on your computer (Picasa, Faststone or similar) then you can get it to produce a "reduced" e-mailable version of your pics which you can save as an edit on your own computer and then upload to this forum. Or, you can sign up to Photobucket, Photobox or Snapfish (all online photo-storage and sharing sites), and upload your pics to there. Those sites then make available a reduced version of your pics which you can insert in, or link to, your forum posts...
