SL60 AMG
Hi their, i have aquired a 1995 Mercedes SL60 AMG RHD recently. I know very little about them but have done research on them and seen that their was only 49 ever made. Was wondering if anyone could give me a rough price to ask for it as im going to sell it soon. It is a:
1995 Mercedes SL60 with 129k mile's. Lot's of history and receipt's, 2 previous owner's. Hardtop. Immaculate inside and totally original car or if anyone could suggest a good auction to put it in. thank's alot much appreciated

If you go a reputable auction house, they will value it for you. These cars have near cult status and it is a shame it is being used as a commodity rather than something to be cherished. IMO.

Currently 3 on car and classic
Mercedes SL60 AMG for Sale on Car and Classic UK

With that mileage and imperfect history, I would say late teens for a quick sale, early 20's if you are prepared to wait and prep it perfectly.

I would not sell it through an auction house, they will take a very large fee.

You must have an idea on the price since you only bought it recently
Hard to value an SL60 as not many people are after one but one thing for sure,I doubt a car with that mileage will see anywhere close to 20

They are a great car but as mentioned only of interest to real enthusiasts who would probably prefer much lower mileage and full history. It's also before the big facelift in 1996. There were 53 SL60s registered in the UK as at Q4 2014, obviously many more elsewhere in Europe and further abroad.

I could be interested if you could send over some further details. I'll PM you my e-mail address.

The mileage is the only thing that will really kill the value on this one compared to others. I had one a while back that I had and sold on to Jay with 90 odd k miles on and that was one of the highest I had seen.
Many of the higher priced ones are 40-80k miles and price accordingly. Not much I have seen around of 129k miles or similar so hard to value but know how much I bought & sold mine for. I know Jay would have spent a fair few quid moving her up a notch and how much it would be worth now.

I take it that this is also a pre-facelift car with the older interior/bumpers etc. and the 4 speed auto box? I would have said late early teens rather than late teens. I have seen much better examples in the later facelift guise for early 20's.

Just realised that I can't PM to you as you only have one post. Drop me a PM if you can do it that way. If not I'll post my e-mail address in a post.

How did you get on valuing this? A friend of mine, having seen mine, may be interested so get in touch if you're still selling: [email protected]
