Interesting.
When I searcheds for my old man's E Class I went there. They had two, similarly prices. The green one I went to see was as rotten as hell, I bought the blue one which was, and still is (I know the new owner) absolutely superb.
I couldn't quite work them out to be honest. No consistency. I can confirm that there was absolutely no problems with a warranty claim on the gearbox 9/10 month later.
When I bought mine they gave me a 3 month warranty (as they have to do anyway I gather). Asked if I wanted to extend to 12 months for a few hundred £ and I said no.
11 months later had a fuel leak (turned out to be a problem with the fuel filter), phoned the number on the warranty and it was still valid, so they must have put 12 months on it anyway.
Problem fixed at a local garage at the other side of the country completely free of charge.
