Noise when moving power steering?

Had it in today and it looks like a siezed ball joint... Going to let it develop as the noise is intermittent.

Is this or could this be a failure at mot?

Seizing ball joint is an A Class Hazard - when it breaks at speed it will be fun and games. I would have it seen to now rather than later.

It's going back in again next week, they couldn't pin point the noise but again unsure until a closer look.

It went for a few days but it's back albeit quieter.

What kind of damage could this cause? I had the joints and control arms replaced last November.

Just been out again, when the engine is off there's a clear knock when the wheel is moved from left to right? This goes when the ignition is on.
