Nokia Maps

Has anyone used Nokia Maps for in car navigation - on a handset with integral GPS, rather than separate module, are they any good?

I have no need for a portable sat nav, but thought the Nokia Maps would be handy abroad/holiday.

Or any smart phones other than Nokia?

I used it until my subscription ran out recently. Not bad, actually, better than I thought it would be. Make sure you're using the latest version for your phone so it's up to date, etc.

Very useful to have a suitable cradle for mounting the phone in-car. My E90 becomes very inaccurate if it doesn't get a clear view out of a window!

Yep, V2 of Maps is wayyy better than the initial offering.

I run it on my N95 and I am very impressed this time around

I actually prefer it to other systems I own.

I used to use it, but GoogleMaps ( m.google.co.uk/maps ) on my Nokia N78 is better and you can switch to satellite view!

Hmmm, liking the idea of satellite images....

Might have to install this on my phone
