Hi guys

A little about me before i immediately start asking for help! Ive always been a modified car enthusiast and currently drive (and drift) my Nissan 200SX that i dropped a 4.0 Lexus V8 into.

I love doing it but recently my commute increased and driving something that gets 20mpg to work every day, and then tracking it on the weekends is becoming a bit too much for my wallet. I started looking at more modern cars that were quick but diesel so i could offset the cost against the increase in mpg if that makes sense? Anyway, ive been drawn towards 3 models of car 335D and 635D (can i mention those names in these parts? lol) and the E Class Coupe which is what brings me here!

The checks for cars im used to looking at generally involve checking underneath for chassis damage and rust and checking for leaks (both into and out of the car!) and a good listen to the engine. I might be being naive here but i feel like with a car this new these arent problems that i am likely to face.

So what im hoping you can help me with is letting me know if there were any major problems or anything in particular to look for on this particular model. Any optional extras that are a must have? Ive looked at a couple and been to a dealership. I think the most important thing for me is the COMAND satnav with 7 digit postcode search. It seems silly to have a screen and not have a proper satnav. Id like the harmon kardon upgraded audio, but is this really worth it or is the difference not that noticeable? Anything else i should put on the must have list?

Sorry for the essay but figured id crack a welcome post and a help post in one hit rather than across 2.

Anyway, thanks in advance for any tips and advice, its greatly appreciated!

Maccy
