Not eBay. W123 300D Turbo LHD Overpriced?

I'm desperate for one, but not at that price! I found it while looking for one (in vain, as usual, AND it's automatic (I want manual)!)

I spend a lot of time (years!) looking at those and similar on Ebay US, that's more than double price, including shipping and taxes.
A mint very low miles estate might approach 15K.
(I've never seen a turbo in manual, not sure if they did them?, Sorry, Neil)
I'll gladly help anyone with import and shipping advice if I can, though I've only had three.

Cheers,
Paul

He will probably get that in Ireland, cars cost more there.

Thanks, I meant any W123 300D manual. I'd have liked a RHD and I know they didn't do RHD in turbo which is fine. I don't think I'd like to deal with imports, costly and the steering wheel's on the wrong side! I have a W140 now anyway, I hope soon I'll be able to run 2 cars.

But that ad is just ridiculous!

join the club of people looking for a good 300d,

for 20k i would rebuild one with new parts, that wont sell its nice but 20k

I've a really sweet thing, (300D RHD), I bought in here in Portugal, It's a South African import. I'd spent years avoiding the W123 and wish I hadn't, it's a fantastic car, 80k miles and in very good order. All cars are VERY expensive here, and it is even more expensive to import. That said, the 300d's are just starting to fall away a liitle, but you still have to pay 4000 for a good example. I've just got myself a daft dog so an estate might suit me better - if I can find one the saloon will be for sale. Please PM if any one thinks it might suit them. Images are in my album.

I'll happily help anyone looking for something here in Portugal.

Cheers,

Paul

Thanks for the offer, I'd rather not have an import and I'm looking for a later W123 than a 1979, with the supposedly better gearbox. Thanks though!
