NTG 4.5 Comand online

Can anyone explain how to actually get online?
I have my Android phone linked via BT, but get a message about data not being enable, or something similar. Is there something in particular within Android that I need to do in order to piggyback off my phone to access Internet via Comand?

On your Android phone:

Go to Settings
Go to Connections
Go to Mobile Hotspot and Tethering
Then set Bluetooth tethering to ON

In the car:

Select the Internet icon from the top bar
Select Automatic Configuration

I've tried all sorts including the above and have never managed to get online.
