Ntg 4 c class screen failure

Pretty much all summed up in the title to be fair...

Is this a common issue? Hopefully (if it is) there's a nice quick, & cheap, fix.


Was working fine, then nothing!

a) Do you have COMAND (satnav) or Audio-20
b) If COMAND, does it still open/close automatically (i.e is fuse OK)

Command, and yes the monitor still pops up and down no prob...

Failure is relatively rare (apart from physical damage!) and as the unit opens and closes, the fuse is not broken.

I have seen backlight failure (so you can see the picture if you look really carefully, but nothing lit up).

They are expensive items though :-(

It could of course be the cable between COMAND and the screen, or COMAND not outputting anything (i.e don't go spend £££ on a new screen until you know that is the fault)

Where are you ? Book in and see us and we'll work out what is up. We have a spare unit at the mo. so can substitute stuff as necessary to work out what really is broken.
