NTG2.5 pin lock ??

Ok seems like a few used ntg2.5 are now pin locked.

I have a guy who says he will send me a unit with the pin code and code the unit before sending to my vin number, does that sound right?

As long as you have the code it is fine but AFAIK the code can only be entered using STAR. Dont see how he can code the unit to your VIN before sending.

Googled and found Mercedes upgrades from comand on line with the answers.
