Number Plate Cage - How To Open

Before I break it !! is there a knack to opening the MB cage

It has hinges top and bottom and I can see how it should open BUT whats throwing me is the 4 slots i the middle of the two edges

Do I need 2 terminal screwdrivers per side and all at once or one in one slot and release

I just dont want to break soemthing that looks a pain to replace

Yes you need to push in through the two holes on each side. Then they can be swung open.

I can't recall/describe the exact process, but have a go with a tiny screwdriver or something. You'll feel when the 'catches' are released and it'll start to open up.

The plate frames are only held on with four screws, so should the worst happen (unlikely!) you could just replace them - they're cheap or free from MB anyway
