From the E-bay auction you cannot tell, but from the auction description alone, you should be ok, as the seller seems to be aware there was a different type on the later cars.

Steve Krabbenbourg of MBenzNL got some xenons which were from a facelift W202 whereas his was pre-facelift. So to carry out the mod successfully (because his car had been painted including the trims under the headlamps) he took the rubber seals off the trims so his headlights would seat properly. I remember Shude telling me it, so it mustnt have been a major detriment.
