Offset different for CLS 55 and E55?

Hi

Is there a difference between the wheel offset on C219 CLS55 and W211 E55?

Thinking of putting on the 19 inch solid 5 spoke CLS55 rim onto an E55 and wanted to check to see if they were the same or if not does it make any difference or are there any problems that you are aware of in making this mod? Also thinking of the R230 SL65 wheels, same quetion applies.

Another member put CLS rims on his 211 E55 and it looked great, the offsets are different, it gives it a fatter stance... As for SL rims, I know they fit the E and CLK as I had a set of SL rims on my previous CLK

No I think mine are 19 inch SL rims. Its bishy that has the CLS rims on his car. But hes sold the car now so not sure if he visits here anymore.

Without issue? Same wheel bolts? Nothing to be done at all? Do you know if they would rub if the car was lowered? I think that the offset may bring them out a bit and therefore may rub the arches????

The 19" 2piece CLS wheels are not TUV approved for a W211. Thats not to say they wont fit. But most AMG wheels are available in more suitable fitments in the same design.

depends if your going to lower it i guess, the US forum guys have all done it without issue, pop onto mbworld and have a look, many e55`s modded on there!

It was the 1 piece AMG 3 style that I was reffering to see link below to picture of ones I mean.

Those are available in a r230 fitment, which would be better suited to your car. However, from the posts above it seems they should fit.
