Hi there. Not sure about aftermarket stuff but all threads I've read said mb stuff is what you should use with reference the gearbox. Did my c230k with merc stuff and all is good but be warned as the bolts on trans sump can either break or seize! One of mine seized next to the pilot bush so had to buy new bolt and fixing hook but they were cheap enough from mb. Oil 7 litres and filter and rubber gasket from mb were £90 IIRC . Carl
I agree with silversaloon with all other parts but on trans oil many threads say stick with mb oil! Suppose it depends on how long your thinking of keeping it. Mine I will keep for a very long time so she only gets the best parts etc.
cheers guys well iv picked up the gasket and filter from MB,and gona go for the ATF Dexron 2 as i spoke with OLLY earlier and he said it was fine,abit worried if the about the sump nuts..im gona try and ask for before and after pix.
Plenty of wd40 the day before or longer and keep your fingers crossed. If when your undoing them and they start to feel like there tightening; give them another spray and tighten them back and then undo! Might take a few attempts but shoulcome out nice if you take your time.
