Oil Filter Location

I recently purchase a 1998 C280 Spt (first MB purchase) in great condition however, I would like to change the oil and oil filter. I've been searching the web for oil filters and it seems that the internal oil filter sleeve is changed along with the O-rings and not the whole filter housing. From a person who has worked on Honda's/Acura's, is this easy to do? Can you please advise me as to where oil filter is located?

From what I remember the oil filter is usually on the right hand side and usually at the rear of the engine, on the top. It looks like a large black plastic, domed cap. Has flat sides like a large nut and some models have a smaller nut moulded into the top. You really need a special filter socket although a strap will work.

Once unscrewed you can remove the housing and the filter element.
