Oil filter Mann part with Merc number

Back in May changed my oil filter during a service.
The old oil filter element had the Merc identification part number on it but also the Mann ident number.
Looks like Merc buy from Mann and then put their own number on the filter.
Merc part no A646 092 05 01 Mann part number WK820/1
Any comments??

Most car parts are made by other companies for manufacturers.. you will see filters made by Mann, Bosch and a few others..

ps Mann are up there with the best filter manufacturers. you will also hear Hengst and Knecht mentioned.

hengst is also oe monufacturer for mercedes. hengst, mann, mahle/knecht and bosch are all oe quality.

Yes I quoted the fuel filter in error, oil filter is HU821
