What colour is it, black or red?

I would think your mechanic is correct.

Why didn't you get the mechanic to fix the leak ?

The cooler pipes are so common to corrode. Make sure they re-fill the atf properly and they have the correct dipstick.

Please don't do that. That will cause issues with the gearbox. Fix it properly.

Don't DON'T DON'T put leak sealer in it. Even if it works, it will only be temporary, and the pipe(s) will continue to corrode, and leak again, and it is highly likely it will cause problems with the gearbox - and that WILL be a big job and cost a lot!

Maybe you should find another mechanic, one who knows something about Mercedes?

I put it yesterday and leak is more now? How much do you think it will cost to fix the leak?

You can get all the rubbish leak sealer drainied out but do it quickly

Go to a proper garage. It should cost you a couple of hundred quid to get the bad pipe repplaced and fitted

But you will need a complete fluid exchange now for absolute certain, so you've cost yourself extra. But act ASAP before that bodge fluid causes serious damage to your transmission

Never use leak sealers ever. They work by creating gunge to plug leaks. You do not want gunge inside any system on your car!

Definately fix properly !!......& gearbox rebuild will be MUCH more expensive & time consuming to do & a Mercedes is worth fixing properly ........isn't it ???

Dear God,,!!! Find another mechanic.
