Oil stain - cleaning ('99 C250)

Hi, after giving a lift home to a friend (and his bike) after he had a puncture, I have noticed a small oil stain on the rear door panel on the fabric under the handle.

Can anyone recommend how to remove it?

I have tried a small amount of fairy liquid, then sponged with clean water, but its still there.

Hi Neil

You could try a carpet/upholstery cleaner after putting a blob of something like Vanish or Shout onto the stain itself. Let that sit for a few minutes to dissolve the oil. Then clean off.

What you must do though is start well beyond the mark and work in towards it otherwise you just push the mark out and potentially end up with a bigger stain.
