OM 616 engine - info needed

Hi everyone,

I am helping out a friend with a Mercedes TN flatbed he uses for his track car transportation, it has a 2.4L Diesel engine which is the same as the W114/W114 240D saloon.

Does anyone have any specs on this engine, I have found a few bits here and there for displacment and power output etc, has anyone found a W114/W115 manual? I could use the info from the 240D for engine info etc.

If it's a workshop manual you're after, the Haynes diesel W123 manual will cover the OM616.

I managed to find some info last night, found some PDFs on the W114/W115 which had a OM 616 engine in and had the specs etc. Also I found that as this is a base for other vehicles like an old school campervan there are other sites with the same chassis and engine etc which helps lol

does anyone on here have any experiance with the OM 616?
