Thats nae bad. Shame my not much slower 320cdi V6 does 44 with ease.

I think really the 11mpg is more the purpose of a 500 V8, built for pleasure, not economy.

You could play a game now and try to beat 30mpg try driving the same but at 56mph's see if you can get to 35mpg.........

Thanks for the suggestions but the MPG was just an little experiment - sound of the V8 and the warp speed two finger sign to the ecomentalists wins every time

I was at 29.9 MPG joining the A3 from M25 and a coast up the slip road got to 30 mpg at the traffic lights.

Managed 33.6 mpg out of my V8 S500 ... and you can keep your paper figures regarding diesels.

That was a 200 mile run from Hull, which included plenty of speeds over 69mph as well as plenty of the M1 at 50 to balance them out.
