One of the coolest cars ever!

Great cars, dad had about 5 of them over the years, I think my brother still has a original Citroen workshop manual for a DS, its huge.

A friends father had one as a company car back in the 1970's - I was impressed

Glad to see there are so many positive comments about the DS. It helps me believe that my liking for them makes me quite normal.......even if I'm not!

Amazing cars, as were the SM and perhaps to a lesser degree the CX

Some of you will disagree I'm sure.
That's me. I've never understood the attraction. But that's OK because to quote a couple of the few things the French did get right: "vive la difference" and "chacun à son gout".

I love them and keep on thinking about getting one. just don't have the time and space for one. Particularly SM's.

The DS23 was quick but the French police supercharged them too.

I may have mentioned this a few times before but the DS Safari is one of my all time favorites, closely followed by the CX Safari. (not sure about the single spoke steering wheels though!)

Single spokers are a must on any classic Citroen. They make the driving experience better as you can see so much of the dashboard.

Safari in any guise are very individual and a nice drive due to the longer wheelbase.

Just last year I went up to see these guys DS Workshop :: Citroen DS Specialist

because my uncle wanted to buy one, since he so fondly remembered his DS23 Pallas from years ago. Rather unfortunately we arrived after night fall, but could still poke around about 6 cars in various states of repair, brilliant old school workshop (of the boxes full and pilled in every nook and cranny with an ultra specialised seemingly excellent mechanic type), and almost tempted myself too...
