Opinion on wheels

I think the 22" design is nicer, however, I think anything bigger than 20 on an ML just makes it loose its identity, they just start to look too bling for my tastes.

I like an ML to look utilitarian, and actually like a good looking 18 or 19 with loads of sidewall on the tyre, looks like it means business.

22" for me also even if they are HUGE  What is the weight for that kind of wheel? What kind of tyres are going to be fitted?

Ditch the 20's and keep the 22's - I bet the 22's look great on the car.

They certainly have a "wow" factor. Compared to 20's which are quite big on their own, these are just massive!

i love the design of the 22's but youre crazy with the potholes getting wheels that big! :)

Hahaha! Gotta watch out for potholes :)

I hear you. Ironic how tastes change over the time. My first ML had 17" standard and I thought they were just right. My next set to replace them was BRABUS 18's and I noticed how harsher the ride has become. Look at me now... 20's too small. But seriously, I want to shift away from offroad look, yet retain SUV's spaciousness and elevated seating position. Will see if it works!

I think due to their multi-piece design 20's feel a tad heavier than 22's. Not sure on exact figure - 20 kg/EA, maybe? Currently I have Yokos 285/35 mounted on 22's and Pirelli 295/40 on 20's.

I think I will go with the majority and keep the 22's.

If anyone is after genuine 1/2 y.o. 20's BRABUS wheels with tyres for ML, PM me. Expensive.

Good idea. I think the 22's are a cleaning looking set. But then if the car doesn't ride as well what does the look matter. Bumps vs bling

22`s ALX, look nice, not sure on ride quality tho, but will look better!

keep both, winter wheels and summer wheels, i'd have the 20's as the winter wheels.

Are you seeling the set you don't want?

Yep. 20" wheels are officially up for sale.

prefer the 20"s myself.

5 studs - 5 twin spokes. Nothing not to like.

I can't stand the current trend for spokes not dividing by studs. It's just wrong. All them W204s with the cheaper "AMG" double six spokes...

They are very nice wheels, no doubt.

Interesting as I never looked at them from the angle of spokes v. studs! Another reason to keep them ;)

Will these fit the current model ML?

the 'S' 22" for me, as someone has already remarked they look more current.

Both very nice though

PM facility keeps throwing me out for some reason.
