Hi guys,
I have a r230 350 currently on DRC 19" with Pzeros. I'm thinking of picking up some OEM Rims.

Namely:
19 Inch Spoke Alloys Original Mercedes AMG CLS W219 SL R230 E Class W211 NEW | eBay

This is what I currently have the SL sitting on:

My question for you guys is, do look to be Original AMGs? Anyone heard of/dealt with this company before?

TIA

never heard of that company, but the wheels are stamped AMG, and the AMG part numbers are quoted in the advert. as always with ebay, caveat emptor. If you pay by cc via paypal then you have two pretty good means of claiming a refund if the wheels turn out to be no good.

oh, and they look like nice wheels btw, definite step up from what's on there now.

Yes, would suit your SL.

Are you happy with the aftermarket wheels you already have? If you are then spending £1500 on new wheels that look similar to what you already have seems a lot of money. The only benefit is you will have OEM wheels which aren't necessarily better quality.

Well I've had a cracked alloy with them so I figured the OEM would be made of stronger material?

Maybe, maybe not........i think all alloys are at risk of cracking on uk roads, especially with low profile tyres. Both wheels look really cool so IMO, have you looked at WSP Italy wheels, everything i have read about them is great, they are replica's of OEM wheels and great quality.

No, OEM doesn't mean stronger. I have OEM wheels on my CLS and they've been cracked and buckled more than once.

I agree with flowrider99. They look similar, and i just wouldn't justify 1500 pounds is way to much for an alike replacement.
You could spend them differently to improve the look or performance.
Even if your interested only in wheels, there are so many around that would look great on a mercedes SL.
