Don't your halogens come on and stay on when you switch to high beam?

Yes they do, as I said, I hadn't got my car at the time and was going by the downloaded manual that implied they were only for flashing which as it turns out is misleading for UK cars at least. Corrected myself previously in the other thread discussing these.

I've tried the Nightbreaker on the CLS before, but didn't notice much improvement. I now get the Philip X-Treme Vision, and they are much better.
