on my central instrument cluster on the C63 has a reading for KMH but in the manual its an outside temperature gauge. this is on the bottom right of the display under the bar.

But i cant find anywhere to swap the reading from reading kmh to temperature. any ideas?

You can't do it...because you are required by law to display mph and kph.

thats amazing, so ill never know if its icy outside, that idiotic

is there no way of disabling this?

The dealer never told me this.

OK just need to find someone now

thanks for the replies.

you can see the outside temp

if you scroll down i think the tripometer screen has temperature in bottom right

unless ive misunderstood the question

i'll screen shot it tomorrow if you still need some help, but you cant get temperature in the middle of a screen

if its icy you will get an audible note as well ( at 3 degrees or lower )

I've checked the online interactive owners manual and as Renault12ts says, the option to toggle the temp reading in place of kph within the permanent display section of the main dial is disabled by the factory for UK cars, ie it will always show kph in the position marked no.5 in the picture.

Selecting the permanent display function

Only vehicles with automatic transmission have this function.

Vehicles for the United Kingdom: this function is unavailable.

You can determine whether the multifunction display permanently shows your speed or the outside temperature.

On this menu mine only has the option to change between miles and km :dk: Feb 2012 C350 CDI.

Once again you are wrong. You must be able to show mph when necessary. Otherwise a whole raft of cars would be illegal on the road.

Its just MB taking nanying a step too far. Its time they spoke to their new partners and asked how to do this!

Mine is the same, September 2011 registered facelift 204 C180. The manual shows the routine to change from speed to outside temp. but the car's menu only offers changing speed between mph & kph.

As an aside, I drive in france a lot and it will be nice to clearly see the kph displayed instead of trying to read small numbers around an analogue dial, (usually in a colour that makes it even more difficult).
