Does anybody know if the Parrot CK3100 Advanced Car Kit has the facilty to connect an external aerial and an external microphone? If so would they be a standard connection like for the Nokia CARK91?

Certainly not an external aerial - you won't get that with any bluetooth kit I shouldn't think, as the phone signal itself isn't carried over the bluetooth ... just the audio & data.

As for an external microphone though, would have thought it came with one.

DOH, didnt think of that!! I was thinking of using my existing cradle so the aerial would still work, was thinking of just mounting it out of view but am running out of hidy holes, wanted to get rid of the MB phone console with the view of mounting the TTG in that area and I like the look of the Parrot kit.

You could always modify the cradle so that it just charges the phone ;)

Great minds think alike (so do idiots :D )

Thats exactly what I was thinking, mount the cradle in the centre armrest with power and aerial connections but have the Parrot Bluetooth kit with the display mounted somewhere handy. I can then remove the MB phone console and look at mounting the TTG in that area, I am trying to remove all 'clutter' from the dashboard.

Sounds like a plan. All you need to do is work out which pin outs from the cradle charge the phone.

....Or, you can have a spare cradle that I have (which already has the pins taken out), and drill a hole in the bottom of it in the right place to fix a single pin charging plug (12V socket lead type) to do the charging !

Thats exactly what I've done with my SE cradle, powered it up from the original audi phone wires and tapped into the audi aerial as well. Then the Parrot bluetooth kit is used for making and receining calls. I even found the inbuilt audi mic and speaker connections so I can control the volume from the satnav unit and use the inbuilt mic and speaker.

Might have known you would have done something clever like that Craig ! ;)

Have done the same in my BMW, used an original BMW 6310i holder, which has been modified to plug into a Nokia CarK91 (hidden), but been a bit lazy and got the connects2 interface so that everything works through my steering wheel controls inc volume / phonebook / dialling etc.

I have the Parrot thing on my car .. it's Bluetooth. Not sure what the model number is. Trouble is no one can hear me even I am speaking in to the microphone. I can hear them fine.

any ideas
