I have one of these in my Landcruiser. It was fitted by a Toyota main dealer when I bought the vehicle. This was just 13 months ago!

For those who may be familiar with the gadget, the remote controller has ceased working. I fitted a new battery so it's not that.

The phone still works OK on the Bluetooth but you have to use the phone buttons. Not ideal. I've emailed the dealer aiming for some goodwill - no response as yet.

Anyone have any experience of these please?

Chances are it will need re-syncing which you can do by holding down the answer, hang up and play button till the display says pairing of the remote is successful. Be aware you can only do this within the first 60 seconds of the unit firing up so a top tip is to start pressing and turning on the ignition. It may also be worthwhile updating the firmware too of the unit to the latest version from the Parrot website you will get many new features and bug fixes.

I would go with what gurpz said and try re-pairing it with the unit first

Many thanks Gurpz & Bob. I'll give it a try in the morning.
It's chucking it down with rain here, so I guess it'll wait!!

UPDATE

Tried many times to re-sync the thing to no avail. Even put another new battery in.

I will try for a bit of goodwill with the dealer - it should last more than 13 months I think.

One thing to check too is the battery tab in the remote . Remove the cover underneath the remote & you will see a spring type of tab thats supposed to make contact with the battery when inserted . On occasions these can be bent to far back so they dont make contact even tho you've replaced the battery .

If that fails & the pairing has not worked then if they are a Parrot certified dealer then you normally get a 2 year warranty ( but that warranty is actually 2 years starting from the date of delivery from France - if this is a geniune UK parrot supplied product ) .
However if there not a Parrot certified installer & not used geniune UK stock ( sourced only from Parrot UK distributors ) then you may be buggered .

Last note ; I have had in the past just changing the remote not fixing the problem , some cases both the remote & blue box has to be changed , so spend your money wisely .

Hi Espec,

It was fitted by a Toyota main dealer as it was their "preferred" kit.

The 2 year warranty is interesting - thank you.

Make sure you replaced battery with a good brand or it won't work!!!!!!!
