Those wheels look super sexy ......

I test drove (total of 4 hours track/road) 997 C4S & C2S the week before I found the CLK. I was ready to sign my life away on the P*!$che which was very 'nice', and then I drove this...

The closest I will come to owning a Spitfire crossed with a Learjet, and that's from someone used to Grand Prix motorcycles. More smiles per mile, and practical to boot!

One very happy Teddy.

Where do you find these things?
I take it the engine puts out a bit more than the normal wodge for the N/A version.

Welcome to the AMG Club

I was looking for 5 months, went to view one that wasn't very clever, gave up, almost bought a P*!$che, saw this 48 hours before I was due to sign, and I'm totally in lurv.

It's an unrestricted engine, lowered / tricked Bilstein suspension, wider two-piece AMG wheels, auto change-up override, factory flared arches. Capable of embarassing just about anything on the road (real fun seeing, in their mirrors, the open mouths of unsuspecting superbike riders), but still very usable and classy.

Off to my race engineer for fettling next week...

Careful, I ride a superbike and we only open our mouths when braking very hard!!

But what has been done to the engine?
I'm not the only one interested in tuning the naturally aspirated 5.439litre AMG monster engine...

there are indeed definitely others 'listening' ...

et moi :D

Not sure on ther engine spec, is the honest answer. No details yet (still researching) on cam lift etc. I do know that there is no restrictor in place. Does anyone know whether or not the ECU is progammable? (plug chop shows mixture slightly lean at top-end) If not, that's likely to be the best route forward.

Maybe come to a dyno day ......

Be interesting to see the power gain over standard .....

.... auto change-up override,

Sorry about bringing up an oldish post from Sept., but this caught my eye: does that auto modification mean you can get it to hold a gear without the box changing up?

Drifting is a possibility?
