Anybody out there had any experience of good bodyshops in the Lincoln area? I bought a 2003 w203 about 6 weeks ago and noticed some sort of paint job had been done to the nearside rear door/wing when I removed the rear wheel for cleaning, there was overspray in the rear wheel arch. There seems to be a slight difference in the colour (the car is silver) between the rear and front doors when you look at the car from a distance. When you get closer up it's not so bad but if i'm going to keep the car for 2/3 years then I'd like it to be right.
since writing the above I have spoken to the previous owner of my Merc and the garage that did the bodywork on the car (new bumper & n/s front wing). The garage said that because water based paints are used in post factory paintwork you can't get an exact match with the original cellulose based paintwork, is this true?
