Peter's S-Class 500

I thought Devon was a quite peaceful and very  place ?

Mind you they are as common as muck In London ;) Maybe not as  as mine though

Depends on the colour of your skin. But it is still a fantastic looking car, and i really like the interior.

I enjoyed looking at the pics you posted, and a very nice colour combination.

I remember when my best friend ordered his it was not easy with the small sample blocks.

Very nice :):)

It is a very nice colour combination, which Designo bits did you choose?

I was kind of hoping to get a special colour for the C63 I've ordered but they seem to be quite restrictive on designo stuff for the C class, even AMG ones. Really I'd like Almandine Black with a black interior but I don't think I've got any hope of that.

Oh and it's nice to see a V3 phone cradle, that's the phone I have so I'll be ordering one of those.

Congrats Peter, a truly stunning car with all the nice options! Love the AMG kit, looks too bland without one....

Being practical. Veyrons need a pit crew and seat 2 and cost £850,000, many other cars are also impractical or unreliable. Is there any better car in the world than an S500 equiped like Peter's. It is as safe as houses, quiet, fast, practical, spacious, comfortable, takes passengers and is well built and should last for years. The perfect car?

The only downside, and this applies really to any modern premium vehicle of this nature, is they are effectively no good once out of warranty. Hence the eye watering depreciation.

These are wonderful vehicles, just so incredibly complicated.

Really nice car though even though the S class doesn't float my boat I can see why people buy them.

errrrr, I believe the term is, "WOW!!"

Truely amazing. I absolutely love it.
Well done Peter.

OK I'll ask, why are the coments here and the pictures on another thread? Nice car tho.

Now I understand, but it does seem a bit strange how we all talk of a nice car, and there are no pictures here to see it. First time I have looked at the Gallery:rolleyes:

Now remind me again what you have on order? You should be able to get eye watering from both the performance and the deprecation;)
I suspect a C63 is not far behind on the complication front:eek:

Sure:D I'd just never want to own any of these outside the first three years of their life.

Not a complaint simply an observation.

The 560 SEC I have was a complicated car, it's nothing compared to what's produced today. So unlike the SEC, when these new vehicles reach 17 years old they'll have been dead for years and have been broken for electronic components.

This doesn't make them any less wonderful vehicles....just full of complicated expensive components that can't be repaired, only replaced at huge expense.

You are quite right, these are complex motor cars. I remember noting that whilst working with the Bentley Continental (the equivalent VW platform to the Merc S) it had 70kgs of wiring and 17 ECU's  and that I wouldn't want to be the owner once it had past its sell by date;)
I now have a car which has all the refinement of the Bentley, cost half the amount to buy and run and fortunately, a little less bling!

Thats a stunning car in the perfect colour combo, if i was ever to buy one, it would be EXACTLY the same....

hope you are bringing her in June!!

Yes.

Beautiful car Peter Congrats!

Only the original poster can make an entry in the gallery. Otherwise it is just that, a place to go and look at pictures.
