Phone UHI any ideas

When i make a phone call from the car i can hear reciepent fine but they cant hear me.I have the microfone enabled on the command.I wondered if there is a outgoing volume control somewere.I have cleaned the contacts.
Or is it just a crap set up (sony k700 in uhi cradle)

PS any one got a nokia 6230 (not the i version) i can try as i have a spare cradle?

My wife called me from our car - I could hear her and she couldnt hear me -- she had turn down the volume...hmmm

Sorry - just re-read your post - I used to have a sony K700i - total rubbish - went through two UHI cradles - rubbish...switched back to my old nokia 6310 - no problems - my wife uses a motorola v3i - bluetooth - no problems..so I can only think sony k700i isnt any good
