Pics of my C43 and a fuel question for fellow owners..

As title, here's a few pictures of my new C43. I am loving it, what a beastie.

Any other owners out there of AMGs - is it worth running on Optimax or do you use normal unleaded? I used to run my Subaru on Optimax, it wasn't mandated but it just seemed to run smoother and generally better compared with 95RON. To be honest, I know in advance that I'm going to be spending a small fortune on fuel so might as well be hung for a sheep as a lamb..

Welcome to the C43 club Fantastic machine. Sometime I think I can notice a difference when running Optimax other times I think its best to fill up at Morrisons so I can get £5 off my shopping and can really tell very little if any difference between Morrisons own and Optimax.

Only thing to do is run a couple of tanks of each and see what you think.

I only ever run my C43 on SUL, I tend to stick to BP, but sometimes put in Optimax. I think it seems better on BP than Shell, but then sometimes I think it feels livelier on a fresh tank of BP than the last tank of BP.

I don't think it's made any real difference to my fuel consumption.

I do it more for peace of mind than any supposed real performance gain. My baby's worth the extra expense - luckily I do < 10K p.a.

Looks like you've got plenty of tread on those rear tyres, you'll need it ! Enjoy !

I once put unleaded in my e55 and i noticed it llacked power.
Since then I only run Super unleaded on my e55.

I'm a cheapskate and run mine on normal unleaded. I did spend a week on SUL but didn't notice any difference in performance or fuel consumption.

Nice car - black makes them look somehow younger I think.

I do the opposite.
I use normal unleaded most of the time apart from gtg's and track days.

I've tended to use Optimax pretty much exclusively for years now, I've no idea if my cars have benefitted from it but they've certainly not suffered!

Optimax, you wont notice anything immidiatley and will probably need a few visits to the shell garage before the fuel is running freely inside!

I used to note a more smoother delivery of accelration.

I have just started to use Tesco's Rocket 99 fuel, before it was Optimax. I can't say i have noticed any difference yet. As you can see i spoil my car as well.

Great looking car Gaz good colour,mine looked like yours until i joined this FORUM as you can see i have added a few MODS and it's all this MBClub's fault. Once you start it's very difficult to stop.

De-Badged, the first one i have seen. I saw a C43 yesterday with C240 on the bootlid yesterday.

What's your first MOD going to be ?
