Not being able to decide what wheels I want on this coupe, and since the ones on there were in dire need of a refurb (plus not gen items either). I thought I would give this Plasti dip a try through the winter and not bother with a new set until next spring. I wire brushed off the corrosion and loose paint then cleaned and dried the wheels (I did not remove them from the car, just covered the discs and calipers with plastic bags). Then sprayed on about 4 coats of plasti dry. All in all it took about 3hrs and 2 cans.

I'm not really a fan of black wheels, but the stuff covers really well and hides the imperfections in the wheel surface, you cant even tell were the bogus AMG stickers are.

Great job :) Plasti dip is great stuff, I'd recommend the glossifier spray as well though as you may find it a little difficult to clean them after a while without it plus it will stop the wheels from turning brown
