A Class /CLA
Hi there.
So I have a 2023 A class and lately, I’ve noticed a weird sound coming from the back of my car.Best I can describe is like when you have pack of 12 plastic bottles of coca-cola and the bottles are touching and making that squeaky sound. I tried to pinpoint the origin of the sound but I couldn't sort it till now. Any of you ever experimented something like this? This is notable when driving at low speeds on bumpy roads, or going over a speed bump. Thank you in advance!

I would start by dropping the seats, going for a drive then putting them back and also putting the centre arm rest up and down a few times.

Does it have bc a removable parcel shelf? Take that out and go for a drive too.

Hi! Thanks for the reply! The sound seems to be coming from somewhere above the head on the right side, where the airbag is. Can I use some sort of a spray to try to muffle the sound?

Dry ptfe spray on all the joints might help.

That or ocd counselling ;-)
I will consider the OCD part in the future :), but for now I just want my money to reflect the value of the product that I’ve bought. I had 4 MBs until now and every time I’ve swapped one my mind was “Maybe I was a bit unlucky with the last one, this new one will truly be great” but all of them disappointed me a bit. Maybe I expect too much from a piece of metal and plastic :)

Does it have grab handles? Sorry I don’t know the model

Thanks!
I tried to push and move all the plastic parts from that area but none of them seemed to make any sounds when shaking them. Only the road vibrations are causing the issues to appear.

Another thought, could it be the door or window rubbers? A good clean might do the trick.

I’ve got some spray for the rubber seals, what annoys me is that it's only 4 months old car, took is as new from showroom, should have been of a better quality.

At 4 months old I would be expecting the dealer to investigate

So , had the car booked with the dealership from where I bought the car from. Resolution: they spotted the issue with the noise coming from the interior of the car. They have to strip the back the car, to fill it with something.Problem is that I have used PTFE spray and they won’t strip it because after they will “fix” the issue, the material won't stick because of the silicone. So now I have to clean it and book it again which takes me to my next question. How can I clean that PTFE spray, I used it everywhere, seals, every piece of plastic touching other piece of plastic.Any of you guys have any suggestion of how can I clean it? Much appreciated!
