Playstation 2 - Canadian games

Hi

A friend has a UK Playstation 2 and wants to play Canadian bought playstation games on it.

I heard that a NTSC to PAL converter is needed? Does the playstation also need to be chipped?

NTSC to PAL convertor is only required if the TV to be used doesn't support NTSC. Many recent models do it very well.

A chip will most certainly be required.

it will need to be chipped. most modern tvs should work (although may appear B&W in NTSC in which case a converter is needed).
