I'd go with BillyW124's suggestion. Orange may seem like a good idea now, but I think you may regret it shortly after. At least with a wrap you can go mental on the colour scheme and easily revert back at a later date.

re the gold wrap pic, the valet parking entrance at Mall of the Emirates is a laugh a minute for tastless car mods and wraps. The worst I ever saw there was luminous green Range Rover sport with lambo doors, or maybe it was a matt pastel pink 911 with gold brightwork...too many to choose from.

the wrap does sound like a good idea, but knowing my luck i will get the rust sorted and have it wrapped then ehen i come to take it off the piaint will come with it lol.

I would humbly suggest a bright orange E55 would have lots of "pulling power"-- not for the ladies but for the boys in blue? I would keep it "in house" by choosing a similar MB colour [ past or present]that you like - possibly one from MB 's more exclusive ranges SL , S class or CLS

There is something in that.

My lad was pulled more than once in his Kiwi Yellow Seat Cordoba SR. (Bear in mind that is a standard" Seat colour) He was not speeding or without MoT or Insurance just proceeding in an orderly manner as they might say. He was over 21 too.

His warrant card had to be produced a few times before the local law got used to him and the car. He does not police where he lives - he likes to be as "off duty" as he can when he gets home - Doesn't work.

i love the mystic brown, i dont think it would look ok on me aging w210. as for having the power of the pull.... i go most places with the real wheels smoking... looking out of the side windows! lol

As said before, a proper respray will require extensive work or there will be 2 colours to be seen. If you must change it, then there are lots of silver variants which would reduce the resulting mismatch if the more inaccessible areas were not resprayed.
Personally, I used to like silver but then I got an s124 in smoked silver / gunmetal which is vastly superior in looks.

I put a metallic lighting effect on to make it look more realistic which did lighten the front end up. The rear flanks are closer to the actual colour.

What is the ball park figure for wrapping a car? has anyone had it done?

Ball park figure £1500 - £2000, depending on various factors.
