polisher at Aldi [ any good ]

As a no nothing much about detailing bloke, why should it be done inside?
Is it to stop dust etc getting on the surface?
 
Now I know where I am going wrong - I waxed my car outdoors....and there was me just thinking I'm carp at it..:D - knew I shouldn't have used the J cloth and tissues ..:ban:

At the end if the day, detailing to me is about doing a thorough job properly. This means very little compromise on my part, I use the best products, the best machinery, the best techniques and have contacts in the best brands etc etc, and working outside is a BIG BIG compromise in my opinion. I am not just saying this, I've been there and tried it, never will I go there again.

I am not intimidated by you at all, I've nothing to prove to you or anyone else, I was merely stating what I personally know from personal experience not just going by what I've read on the internet and I will correct you if you are incorrect, I would be a fool not to, you should take this as a positive though and learn from it, I did when I was a newbie.

I also don't have much time posting on forums, that is why I get help as the majority of my time I am working on cars or product testing/development. Some of the things I use you can't even buy or are not out yet and these brands you will be very familiar with. Tomorrow morning I start on an Enzo where by I will probably spend 40-45 hours of just machining alone over the next few days.

All I am saying is I will give my views from personal experience and help members the best I can.

However I do apologise if I came across I was being rude, I didn't mean it like that and when posting via email/forum there can be a degree of loss in the translation.

I appreciate your apology and yes forums are not the best place to convert sometimes as it can always sound negative. But i clearly havn't stated any ethic wrong so far, apart from one car ( the only one) that i done single stage correction that wasn't corrected in a garage. This was a friend of mine and he was told prior to the job, that for an optimum finish it would need to be inside. He then told me he was happy for me to do it in his gazebo as he desperatly wanted his paint enhanced. Like i said im not throwing money about for a studio espicially when i live in the most expenisive town in the uk, and when i have only just started out. Lots of detailers don't have there own studio, so for the time being, its fine using my clients garages.

Funny you say that, I used to apply wax by hand that had been warmed by my palmls. :D

that's what i was afraid of [ post 1 ] :thumb:
i would be in an even bigger swirl if i spent 40-45 hours on a car even if it was an enzo [ G post 40 ] :wallbash: big respect to the detailers out there but ive had enough after a couple of hours
 
Whatever happened to Goldfish2 and his polishing prowess ?
